President Hamid Karzai Visits the Oxford University
President Hamid Karzai visited different parts of the Oxford University in Oxford city. Addressing students at this university the president said “Afghanistan must have its own police and army to be able to prevent terrorism, corruption and narcotics.
President Karzai briefed the students on the situation in Afghanistan and said “Now Afghanistan is a free country whose people want a peaceful and prosperous life. They want clinics, schools and peace and the international community must help them achieve their desires.
President Karzai explained that Afghanistan has laid its economic foundation stone in the past six years and said “Presidential and parliamentary elections were held in Afghanistan and we have a modern constitution in which the role of women has been explained.
Afghan lives are improving. Health services are better. Many roads have been built and millions of Afghan girls and boys are going to schools. We have ten local television stations. But Afghanistan still has the problem of the fight against terrorism and we want attention to be focused on the sources and sanctuaries of terrorism.
In the end, President Karzai took some questions from students and signed in a special book.
